A Call to Pray for Others

In John 17, Jesus pauses to pray for His people: “I am praying for them… for they are yours.” He knows His disciples are about to face fear, confusion, and hardship, and He doesn’t ask for an easy path—He asks that they be protected and sustained right in the middle of it.

That truth is comforting, because we all have moments when life feels overwhelming and we don’t even have the words to pray. Those are often the moments we pull away from God, when in reality, they’re the moments we need Him most. Sometimes, the greatest gift we can receive—or give—is simple, honest prayer.

We often say, “I’ll pray for you,” but what if we paused and prayed right then? No perfect words, just a willing heart. A quick prayer in the car, in a parking lot, or before bed can make an eternal difference.

So today, who can you pray for? And will you take the step to do it right then?
