A State of the Ministry Address, Closing Out 2021

Dear Friend,

As I’m sure you know, we are literally just a couple days from a brand new year. Personally, I’m looking forward to it. 2020 and 2021 were hard years for Million Praying Moms, and for my family personally, and I find myself ready to move on. That said, God has graciously provided for us the whole time, so instead of focusing on the hard stuff, I thought I would take a moment to recap His faithfulness to us over the past two years. Here are some of the highlights.

Before I start, please note that we have a ministry need of $98 in monthly support to meet our goal for going into 2022. If you’d like to learn more about what this means, please click here.

BLESSINGS LIST:

1. We didn’t have to close our doors in 2020.

Many valuable ministries and businesses did, and we came close. Very close. I’m so grateful that God made a way, through many of you, for Million Praying Moms to keep serving women.

2. God provided what we needed financially.

Sometimes down to the penny, often in the very moment we needed it.

3. After four years, God gave me the opportunity to write another book.

Praying Mom was perfect timing for me, and for this ministry. I think we all needed it. Writing the book took me deeper in my faith and understanding of the importance of prayer than ever before, and the stories from women who have read it indicate the same is happening for them. My prayer for Praying Mom was that God would somehow use it, over time, to decrease the number of children leaving the church when they turn 18. I know it will take some time to see this come to fruition, but I believe that as a generation of moms stand up, and stand in the gap for their kids, we’ll see a change. You can purchase a copy here if you haven’t already.

4. God has answered our prayers, and allowed us to produce prayer journals again.

When the global pandemic hit, and the window to China closed, we were unable to get the prayer journals many of you had already paid for, and fallen in love with. We lost a large sum of money, both because we had already paid half of the cost of the journals, AND because those who were in our quarterly membership dropped (like flies!) out when we couldn’t produce what they’d ordered. Rightfully so. Several months ago, a publisher contacted us about publishing a line of prayer journals, and we jumped on the opportunity! These prayer journals are our heart. They’re what we long to provide for you. We love them ourselves, and want to get them in your hands. This was nothing short of God making a way where there seemed to be no way.

The first of three new prayer journals called Everyday Prayers for Joy, will release January 4, 2022, and we hope you’ll pre-order your copy right away. These prayer journals contain all of the things we loved most about our older journals, and have more content than before to help you make the most of your time spent in God’s Word and prayer.

When you pre-order before January 4th (launch day) you get several free bonuses, including two never-before published bonus chapters, and audio prayers from the book. Gina Smith, the author, took the time to pray and record each of the daily prayers inside of Everyday Prayers for Joy so that you can listen to them. It’s like having someone pray over your family for you. They’re very special and we hope you’ll enjoy them! Click here to fill out this brief proof of purchase form and we’ll send you your bonuses by January 4.

5. Erin Mohring stepped down from Million Praying Moms.

No, this didn’t feel like a blessing when she first told me she felt God leading her in a new direction, but since October, God has helped me get very clear about the forward direction of this ministry. Erin and I served together in this space for almost 12 years, and I’ve missed having her. But I do believe this is the next right step for MPM, and I feel more clarity now than ever before. For that, I’m so thankful!

As we move into 2022, you’ll see more opportunities to join me for small online classes (affordably priced), courses on prayer, and community through our Patreon membership. You’ll get deeper training on prayer through the MPM podcast, hear from parenting and faith experts on Instagram live episodes, and be encouraged as women of faith to stay the course, and partner with God in prayer for your families.

To me, that sounds pretty exciting!

Thank you for being a part of this community, and for sticking with us through the good and the bad. I value you more than ever!

Together!

Brooke McGlothlin

P.S. We’ve set a goal to have $1000 in monthly support for Million Praying Moms as we move into 2022. This amount of money, pledged each month with consistency, will go a long way toward meeting our needs as we serve women. We don’t just want you to give away your money though. Instead, we’ve prepared different tiers of support that are designed to bless you with resources for praying families in return. Please prayerfully consider being a part of what God is doing at MPM by becoming a monthly Patron. Details are here.
