{Mentor Monday} What to Do When You Don’t Have a Support System

Most moms long for a support system…friendships to help them through the difficult seasons of parenting…biblical mentors to point them in the right direction, and help them see their children’s lives through the lens of scripture. But sometimes, in spite of our fervent prayers, God doesn’t provide that right when we think we need it. So what’s a mom to do?

Join Brooke and Gina as they offer biblical tips for moms who are dealing with this specific situation. Hop on over to Instagram to tune in, or listen below!

A Prayer for When You Don’t Have a Support System

Father, thank You for being there to strengthen me, support me, and comfort me. Thank You for seeing me, for never leaving me, and for meeting all of my needs. Cause me to be tuned into You and to rely on You above any person that You might temporarily bring into my life to encourage and support me. Amen

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:6-9
“But you, Lord, do not be far from me. You are my strength; come quickly to help me.” Psalm 22: 19-21
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
“The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. “Psalms 23:1
“I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.” Psalm 37:25

Is Your Heart Bleeding?

Sometimes, life makes us bleed. I’m not talking about the actual red stuff here…I’m talking about the kind of bleeding that comes from our hearts as we watch hopes and dreams blow away, relationships crumble, children’s lives fall apart, or hear words that scare us to death.

There is a bleeding that can be invisible to the naked eye. It happens on the inside. And we ask ourselves, “Does anyone see? Does anyone care? Is there a way through this crisis that won’t leave me drained of everything I love and hold to be true?”

The answer is yes. God sees. God cares. And there is a way through.
