A Prayer to Let Go of Wrongs

In this episode of the Everyday Prayers Podcast, we are reminded of a powerful truth: God’s forgiveness is complete, compassionate, and freeing.

At a gathering for teen girls, each participant was given a blank canvas and asked to write down their regrets, insecurities, and painful experiences inside a drawn cross. Within minutes, the canvases filled with honest expressions of shame and hurt. But then came a powerful moment—each girl used a red marker to cross out every word, symbolizing the blood of Jesus covering their sin.

What they saw visually is the truth we often struggle to believe: God doesn’t keep a record of our wrongs. When we confess and repent, He removes our sin completely. While we tend to hold onto guilt, God has already wiped the slate clean.

And He calls us to do the same—for others and for ourselves. Instead of replaying past mistakes, we can choose to live in the freedom of His grace.

You are not defined by your past. In Christ, you are forgiven, made new, and seen as a clean canvas.
