What if anger is making it hard for me to pray?

Is anger or unforgiveness affecting your prayers?

I recently went through a season of anxiety related to my desire for my son to succeed at baseball. He’d been through a lot in his pursuit of the game, and endured things I wouldn’t have chosen to be a part of his story if I had any control over it. I was overwhelmed by my desire for him to succeed, and experienced elevated heart rate, and other unpleasant side effects of anxiety. Ironically, he was having a great season. I was not having a great season.

I almost missed it because of what was happening inside of me, and it was God’s goodness to me to force it out. As He healed me, God showed me I was carrying unforgiveness and anger regarding things that happened to my son. I’m not proud to admit that to you, but it’s the truth.

If you’ve struggled with anger, and think it could be affecting your ability to pray, this episode of the Million Praying Moms podcast is for you.
