Ephesians 3:20–21 reminds us that God is able to do “far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think” through His power at work within us. Yet many of us live as though everything depends on our own strength. Between caring for our families, pursuing our work, maintaining our homes, and serving others, our to-do lists can feel overwhelming. When we try to accomplish every good thing in our own power, even the callings God has given us can begin to feel exhausting.
In this episode of the Everyday Prayers Podcast, we’re reminded that God never intended for us to carry our responsibilities alone. Through the Holy Spirit, believers are strengthened to walk in the good works God has prepared for them. If the tasks before us feel paralyzing rather than energizing, it may be a sign that we’re striving in our own strength instead of relying on His.
When we surrender our plans to the Lord, He supplies what we lack. Constant busyness drains us, but time spent seeking God renews our strength and perspective. Instead of letting blessings become burdens, we can trust that God will provide exactly what we need for each moment.
When life feels overwhelming, pause and remember: God is sufficient. As we entrust our plans to Him, He works in and through us in ways far greater than we could accomplish on our own.
