I once had a CEO who told me he wanted to constantly live in a space where if God didn’t show up, nothing happened.
What he meant was that he wanted to be fully committed and dependent upon God…to live in a such a way that his entire existence and victory and success depended upon God keeping His promises.
I’ve never forgotten the heart of that message, and there’s never been an area of my life when I’ve felt it more than motherhood. Here’s what I know:
Prayer is the intersection of a mother’s heart and God’s provision. It’s her wild and free declaration that if God doesn’t show up, nothing happens.
She knows there are no formulas for raising good, godly kids.
She knows even her very best could still fail to be enough.
She knows she can’t control everything that comes into her children’s lives.
She knows she is desperate for the goodness of God, and that she can trust Him to keep His promises…even if she can’t see them right now, or has to wait to see the fruit of her prayers and hard work.
She knows…so she prays.
Father, help us to be women of prayer who wake up each day believing You will show up. Help us to believe Your promises, pray for Your wisdom, and trust Your plan. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

Oh, I know this one so well. It’s almost as if I wrote this . Hello to all. I’m all in. Thank God for you.
I love this. Youβre right, we want to be in control and we want a formula for raising kids that love Jesus and there just isnβt one. But surrendering it all to God and seeking Him to work in them and through me is why my boys are walking with God. Thank you for encouraging moms to pray! So well done.
