A Prayer for Your Son to Have Wisdom

Get this month’s devotions and prayers in written form + a monthly prayer calendar based on this season!

There are only two types of men to choose from, wise or foolish.

The foolish man says in his heart that there is no God and acts like a law unto himself. He only cares about what’s best for himself, looks out for number one, and serves his own needs first all the days of his life.

The wise man fears and obeys God and has security and the blessings of a loving God and all the power of heaven on his side. With God’s help, our sons can submit their lives and hearts to him and choose to follow the path of wisdom.

~ Brooke McGlothlin

Today’s prayer is based on Proverbs 14:16, Proverbs 4:7, Proverbs 4:11, James 3:17, Colossians 1:9, Ephesians 5:15, and Matthew 7:24. Today’s devotion is adapted from the book, Praying for Boys: Asking God for the Things They Need Most, by Brooke McGlothlin, and used with permission from Bethany House, a division of Baker Publishing Group, 2014.
