Every little girl needs a pair of pompoms. My daughter loves to visit my mom’s house. Nana always surprises her with something like a pack of stickers or a coloring book, whatever she might have picked up at the dollar store. On one of our recent visits, my mom handed Josie Lou a pair of red and silver sparkly pompoms saying, “Every little girl needs a pair of pompoms.” Even though they were cheaper than the ones that you get in the stadiums, Josie’s eyes widened and she waved her new pompoms, jumping up and down and exclaiming, “Hooray, hooray!” Almost immediately, Josie Lou turned to me, held one of her pompoms out to me and said, “Mommy, this one’s for you.” As I took the pompom out of her little hand, she said, “You do hooray, Mommy.” So we walked around the house waving our pompoms and shouting, “Hooray, hooray!”
