A Prayer for When Faith Wobbles

APPLE PODCASTS    †     SPOTIFY

I finally met Jesus over a pasta dinner in a Victorian church with bare brick walls, minutes from Buckingham Palace. My life trajectory changed instantly, knowing without a shadow of a doubt I was loved, seen and forgiven. Fast-forward 30 years, and the demands of raising kids in our crazy world, the endless heartbreaking news cycles, Greece, lofts and cancer, not to mention a global pandemic and racial and political division, had knocked all I once held true. In the chaos and relentless demands of family life, minutes from losing my temper again, I found myself questioning him. Where had that faith gone?

Today’s prayer is adapted from God, Can We Chat?: A Daringly Honest Guide to Growing Closer to God, One Doubt at a Time, by Niki Hardy.
