BONUS: Help your children value GIVING this Christmas
We're entering into a season where the words of the Christmas story will be plastered all over the place—stores, front yards, doorways, and even schools—but with no intentional link to the true Christmas story…no understanding that things like joy, peace, and love can...
A Prayer for Trusting in God’s Goodness
APPLE PODCASTS † SPOTIFY We have a snack jar on our counter filled with tasty and healthy snacks. Our boys know they can grab a snack before a long car ride or after getting home from an excursion. They race to the jar to pick...
A Thanksgiving Prayer
APPLE PODCASTS † SPOTIFY It's the week of Thanksgiving here in the United States, so I am taking some time to be with family and make memories offline. In lieu of an official devotion and prayer, I wanted to share this...
What’s Really at Stake if We Don’t Pray for Our Kids?
Praying Mom was sparked by a simple question to thousands of moms: “If you believe you should be praying but you aren’t, why not?” Their answers revealed seven common challenges and beliefs moms have, including:
· I don’t know what or how to pray
· I don’t know if my prayers really matter
· I can’t pray until I get my life together
· I’m so busy!
The answer Brooke McGlothlin has seen in her years as a prayer mentor is to pray Scripture over your family and yourself. God’s Word is living and active (Hebrews 4:12) and does exactly what God purposes (Isaiah 55:11). This means nothing is more powerful and faith-building than praying God’s Word for those you love. Complete with prayers for specific everyday situations, this book will have you making prayer your first and best response to every aspect of family life.

Prayer Mentoring Monday: How to Raise Thankful Kids
Between age, maturity levels, and personality differences, our children are going to be at different places in their growth process. One of my children was pretty much born with a naturally happy and grateful attitude, and one was born asking the question, “Why?” One...
Prayer Mentoring Monday: Hey Mom, is YOUR Heart Thankful?
When my children were about three and six we lived in a small townhouse. It was a cute little home that met our needs (it even had a fireplace!) but it did not have much of a yard. At some point during the two-and-a-half years we lived there, I decided that my...
Prayer Mentoring Monday: My child is selfish and doesn’t like to share with others.
Serving and sharing does not come naturally, does it? No matter what age we are, putting others first is a choice we have to make. I mean, if there is a plate full of chocolate chip cookies on the table, am I the only one who quickly scans the plate to find the...

Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
4:12PM is traditionally tough for moms. Juggling after school activities, cooking dinner, homework, rushing home after work, prepping for the game or ballet, cranky younger siblings who didn’t nap, chores, and on, and on…In one of the toughest parts of our day, why not stop and pray? Together. United.
Standing as one even if we stand alone.
