APPLE PODCASTS † SPOTIFY
For the past several weeks, my family has struggled to control our response to hurtful words and actions. We have tried to take an appropriate posture through it, one that honors God, and that required us to admit to Him we couldn’t achieve that posture on our own.
I’m grateful for wise counsel, for enough control to know we needed to sit and pray instead of immediately react, and I’m so very grateful for prayer. Without it, I don’t think we would have made it.
During this difficult season I saw something on Facebook that had an deep and lasting impact on me. It was a poem of sorts titled “Be the Lion,” and it caused me to think about my position as a child of God.
Today’s prayer is based on Praying for Teen Boys, by Brooke McGlothlin. In this, her last devotion as the leader of Million Praying Moms, Brooke encourages us to walk like lions.
