A Prayer for Your Son to Be Accountable

APPLE PODCASTS    †     SPOTIFY

One of the most difficult transitions into manhood involves being accountable for our own actions. My sons have had a favorite excuse over the years that my husband and I have shot down time and time again. When something happens that’s their fault, they’ll say, “I didn’t mean to.” What they mean by that is that they didn’t do anything to hurt anyone or get in trouble on purpose. And I believe that. The problem with this way of thinking is that it doesn’t remove fault from them.

Today’s devotion and prayer is taken from Praying for Teen Boys: Partner with God for the Heart of Your Son, by Brooke McGlothlin.
