#054: How to Find Gratitude in Unexpected Places

2020 has given us many reasons to gripe and complain, feel overwhelmed and downright depressed. But for the Christian, there is good news.

We have something to be thankful for no matter what the world around us is experiencing!

Our guest, Julie Kieras is a wife and mom of two young boys. She’s the author of the blog Happy Strong Home, where she shares encouragement, tips, and resources for parents who long to simplify life and grow a happy and strong family that loves God together. A homeschool mom, she’s passionate about filling her boys up with the “precious and pleasant riches” of knowledge through great books, poetry and nature. Julie loves to help other moms find joy in the journey and shares lots of fun resources on her blog. She’s the author of our latest prayer journal, Everyday Prayers for ThanksLiving, and is a contributor to the ministry here at Million Praying Moms!

In this episode, Brooke, Erin, and Julie discuss the difference between the Thanksgiving season and a spirit of thanksLiving that lasts throughout the year. They also share fun, creative, meaningful ways to make gratitude a part of family life now and, more importantly, beyond the Thanksgiving season, even in these difficult times. You’ll hear ideas for kids of all ages and lots of variety, including:

  • Thanksgiving Tree
  • Grateful Pumpkin
  • Glory Ball
  • Serving others
  • Daily worship
  • Journaling prompts
  • and lots more!
