A Prayer for Your Daughter’s Salvation

As moms, the most important prayer we utter is for our children to be saved.

Of all the things we pray for our girls, our most desperate and urgent pleas are for her to be saved. Everything else paled in comparison to that request. All the prayers we utter for their identity and hearts and minds and relationships begin in the hope of salvation. Our daughters can only walk in the fullness of their identity in Christ when they belong to Him. Their hearts and minds can be rooted in and guided by Him when they have experienced salvation through Him.

The way they relate to others can truly reflect the character of Christ only if they are being conformed to him.

~Teri Lynne Underwood

Today’s prayer is based on Joel 2:32, Acts 4:12, Mark 10:45, Psalm 62:1, and Romans 5:7-8. Today’s devotion is adapted from the book, Praying for Girls: Asking God for the Things They Need Most, by Teri Lynne Underwood, read by Stacey Thacker, and used with permission from Bethany House, a division of Baker Publishing Group, 2014.
